COMO Castello Del Nero is a historic 12th-century castle set on a 300-hectare estate in the heart of Tuscany’s Chianti region, just 30 minutes from Florence. Restored by designer Paola Navone, the property blends medieval frescoes, vaulted ceilings, and contemporary interiors for an authentic Tuscan escape.

The resort offers 50 spacious rooms, including estate rooms (25–38 m²) and Heritage Suites adorned with original 18th-century frescoes. Interiors feature oak-beamed ceilings, terracotta floors, marble bathrooms, and panoramic views across vineyards and cypress groves.

The castle houses the Michelin-starred restaurant La Torre in the medieval stables and the cozy La Taverna serving Tuscan classics. A pavilion offers international dishes and pizza with sweeping countryside views.

His Opinion: We loved the hotel, location, and the warm hospitality of the staff here. Great location in addition and a peaceful rest stop while visiting Florence , Sienna, and Sam Gimignano among other charming spots in Tuscany and the charming town of Tavarnelle VP. Highly recommend a visit to Antinori in Chianti Classico which is very close and a must visit for wine lovers!

His Opinion: This property was absolutely amazing! Our room was very well appointed, and the views were stunning.The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We had an unforgettable dinner at La Torre and I got to experience the COMO Shambala massage at the Spa which was incredible. We cannot wait to come back to this exceptional hotel. (the only disappointment was the pool was not open for our daughter). Thanks, Michelle

His Opinion: Fabulous place to stay. The staff are so courteous, polite and helpful. Dining is excellent too. The one change I would make is to have a menu in the lounge as well. It would be nice to offer a light appertif or meal while having a cocktail. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. The gardens and view are breathtaking. Quite an amazing experience and a must stay!
